Kindergarten and Pre-K Registration

South Hill Elementary will register students for kindergarten and Pre-K on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 between 9am and 6pm. A parent or guardian should come to fill out the required paperwork and bring: proof of residency, child's physical form and shot records, child's birth certificate, and child's social security card. Please come to complete the paperwork even if you do not have all the documents listed. The child does not need to come to registration.
 

Students Named for January Character Word - Integrity

Students were chosen for the January Student of the Month, based on the character word Integrity.  Each class chooses a student of the month to be acknowledged in their classrooms. The third graders performed at the PTA meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2010. Pictures are posted here. The next PTA meeting is Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 6:00 pm. First grade will perform after the meeting.

Math and Literacy Night for Grades 3-5

On Wednesday, December 16th, students enjoyed playing a variety of math games related to literacy. Students were invited to bring their parents for an hour of math adventures, with dinner afterward. Some of the activities were "Snowball Fighting", "Snowman Bingo", "Capture the Penguins", and "How Big is My Mitten?". View pictures on this page or click the link in the right side menu.

Book a Buck - Friday Book Sales

Beginning Friday, September 18, 2009, South Hill Elementary School will be selling books for $1.00 each. We will be selling every other Friday. We believe this is a great way for your child to own good books at a great price. The school does not make a profit on these books, we simply want our students reading. Please encourage your child to purchase a book! The sale dates are listed on the calendar below.
