Highlights

Agriculture Literacy Week

Agriculture Literacy Week was celebrated on March 23 – 29.

Park View Middle School FFA students and teacher, Mrs. Jamie Harvey, used tomato seeds to teach the students about plant growth and what plants need to grow. Students were able to plant seeds to take home. The FFA students also read agricultural stories to the students.

The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes participated in a “Wow That Cow” presentation by Cynthia Gregg, Brunswick County Extension Agent. The students learned many fun facts about cows.

Live farm animals visited the Pre-K and Kindergarten students at school.

Agriculture Literacy Week spotlighted the book, What’s in the Garden by Marianne Berkes.  Bryant Reese of Virginia Farm Bureau donated a copy of the book to our school library.
