Math and Literacy Grades 3-5

On Wednesday, December 16th, students enjoyed playing a variety of math games related to literacy. Students were invited to bring their parents for an hour of math adventures, with dinner afterwards. Some of the activities were "Snowball Fighting", "Snowman Bingo", "Capture the Penguins", and "How Big is My Mitten?".

Amyah Thomas was the winner of the estimation activity.  There were 181 cotton balls in the snowman.  She guessed 180. The door prize winners are also pictured with Ruth Kinker, the Math Specialist for South Hill Elementary.
