SHE is Skyping!
Due to the popularity of celebrating the 100th Day of School, Mrs. Kinker, the math specialist at South Hill Elementary, was having difficulty creating a schedule where she could reach all the classrooms that wanted a 100th day math lesson. Rather than having to tell a classroom no, Mrs. Kinker wanted to Skype her lesson. This way, she could teach the lesson in one class while simultaneously being broadcast to another class, using the Skype program. The children were thrilled to see Mrs. Kinker on their Promethean board, teaching a lesson, knowing that she was teaching the same lesson at the exact same time in another classroom. It was exciting for everyone involved to be part of something so new and technology driven. Pictured here are children in Mrs. Corum's class, watching Mrs. Kinker on the board. In the other picture is Mrs. Kinker reading to Mrs. Martin's class and Mrs. Corum's class simultaneously. Mrs. Webb, Mrs. M. Coleman, Mrs. Kirby and Mrs. A. Arrington's classes also participated in this event.
